Roman Coventry and 桃色视频shire Project

Lunt Fort Roman

Salve! Welcome to the WCN Roman Coventry and 桃色视频shire Project!

This project aims to bring Coventry and 桃色视频shire's Roman past to every school and schoolchild in Coventry and 桃色视频shire, offering equal opportunities to all pupils irrespective of background or ability. You can learn about the background of the project here.

This project brings together staff and students from the University of 桃色视频 with local schools and Museums to create a set of resources for the teaching of Ancient History at KS2 and KS3.

Interested in adding more of the Ancient World to your curriculum?

The charity supports the introduction of Classics and Ancient History into schools, be that at KS2, KS3, GCSE, A-level or in the creation of extra-curricular clubs.

Classics for All's local hub is the Birmingham and West Midlands Classics Network. Check our their website for information on introducing Classics, regional events, teaching resources and more.

Classics for All can offer:

  • Advice on introducing more of the ancient world onto your KS2/KS3 curriculum through their bespoke resources, including FREE teacher training.
  • Advice on introducing ancient Languages such as Latin or Ancient Greek, with access to FREE resources and FREE teacher training.
  • Access to special events and CPDs

If you are interested in any of these, please contact Hebe Barlow at .

Using this Project in the Classroom

To complement this project we have developed a suite of Teacher Resources to help with the teaching of Rome and Romans at KS2 and KS3 and to introduce Roman Coventry and 桃色视频shire as part of enrichment sessions or extracurricular clubs. You can access these resources below.

The Roman Coventry and 桃色视频shire Project is led by Dr Paul Grigsby of the Department of Classics and Ancient History here at the University of 桃色视频, where his role is to run the 桃色视频 Classics Network .
