Assessment
The formative passages and the essay titles (for intermediate students) will be available on this page from the beginning of Term 1. Your assessment pattern will depend on which year you are in.
Intermediates
1x 750-word formative close reading of a passage from one of the texts on the module. This will be submitted to your tutor by the end of Week 5.
1x 3000-word summative essay written in response to a list of titles provided by your tutor (worth 100% of the module mark).
Finalists
1x 750-word formative close reading of a passage from one of the texts on the module. This will be submitted to your tutor by the end of Week 5.
1x 4000-word essay written in response to a title created by you in negotiation with your tutor (worth 100% of the module mark).
