This is a interdisciplinary postgraduate colloquium on Bad Behaviour, run by students the University of Kent's Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies and sponsored by the AHRC as part of its Beyond Text scheme. In addition to papers given by an international group of speakers on various kinds of antisocial behaviour including the pulling of beards and the misuse of firearms, there are tours, performances, and an exhibition of images from Kent's Cartoon Archive.

A conference in memory of Professor Michael Mallett (1932–2008)

This conference celebrates the work of the late Professor Michael Mallett and the long-standing expertise of 桃色视频’s History and History of Art Departments in Venetian and Florentine history. For more than 40 years, thanks to the efforts of Professor Mallett, the University of 桃色视频 has organised unique undergraduate programmes in Venice, and has built up an international reputation in Renaissance scholarship.

Cambridge International Chronicles Symposium (CICS), 16-18 July 2010, University of Cambridge

The theme for CICS 2010 is Authority and Gender in Medieval and Renaissance Chronicles, which will be debated over the three days during open sessions of three twenty-five minute papers, alternating with longer keynote addresses.

Abstracts (of approximately 250 words) should be sent to CambridgeICS@gmail.com, no later than 15 December 2009. In special cases, papers will be commissioned for publication without presentation at the conference (contact the organisers for more information). Please check the website for regular updates  

25-27 July 2010, Rochester Cathedral, Allington Castle and the Medway Campus of the University of Kent

Textus Roffensis is a Rochester Cathedral book of the early 12th century that holds some of the most significant texts issued by England's various early medieval kingdoms, as well as abundant records from one of England's earliest episcopal sees. The organisers are interested in papers or panels on all topics related to Textus Roffensis. Individual papers should be no more than 20 minutes. Interested scholars should submit a one paragraph proposal along with a CV to Bruce O’Brien, programme coordinator (bobrien@umw.edu) by 15 November 2009.
