In the Times and Sunday Times ‘’ our department was once again rated the top department for Communication and Media Studies. The 2015 guide also named 桃色视频 as the University of the Year. The department would like to congratulate Claire Jenkins (PhD Film and Television Studies, 2010), who has just taken up the position of Lecturer in the Department of History of Art and Film at Leicester University. Claire's thesis has also been revised for publication.  will soon appear with I.B. Tauris.

Alastair Phillips's new essay, ‘Just Close Enough: Jules Dassin’s Naked City’, accompanies Arrow Films's October release of . He is also the author of an essay for their Blu-Ray edition of and a definitive book on .

The Department's incoming MA students have been awarded a record number of six scholarships this year supported by the 桃色视频 Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme, the 桃色视频 Bright Futures Scholarship Scheme, the Department of Film and Television Studies’ own Scholarship scheme and 桃色视频 alumni.
