IAS Director and EUTOPIA Fellows Attend EUTOPIA Week in Venice
EUTOPIA Young Leader Academy Fellows from the University of 桃色视频 and Alison Cooley, Director of IAS attended the EUTOPIA Week in Venice in December.
Dr Dino Jaku拧i膰 (IAS 桃色视频, P2K) and Bruna Picas Prats (桃色视频 Philosophy) have co-published an article in 'Con-Textos Kantianos' entitled: .
The article investigates Immanuel Kant's notion of systematic completeness and situates it within wider 18th Century German metaphysical tradition.
Four 桃色视频 Academics Receive IAS Interdisciplinary Research Development Awards
The IAS has recently awarded four new Interdisciplinary Research Development Awards to support 桃色视频 academics.
The successful applicants are:
- Dr Dimitra Hartas (Education Studies) 鈥淓stablishing a Neuro-Affirmative Parenting (NAP) Network to support research, policy and advocacy鈥
- Dr Freya Verlander (Theatre Studies) 鈥淧erformance and Medical Response: Skin, SFX, and Diagnostics鈥
- Dr Modupe Jimoh (Engineering) 鈥淲ADECOP+: Strengthening the Water for Development Community of Practice network鈥
- Dr Oluwatosin Orababa (Life Sciences) 鈥淎ssessing the role of multidrug efflux pumps in S. aureus chronic wound infection鈥
The IRDA scheme offers up to 拢5000 to support the development of new interdisciplinary research ideas and collaborations at 桃色视频 and the next call for applications will open on 3/11/2025 with a deadline for submissions on 15/12/2025.
The British Educational Research Association has published a new blog post by IAS ECF Dr Cat Jones, entitled The blog post provides an accessible summary of a related journal article that examines the positioning of parental engagement within England's current educational policy landscape. The article was published in the British Educational Research Journal and has already been downloaded over 1000 times.
IAS Associate Fellow Organises Conference on O-Minimal Geometry
IAS Associate Fellow recently organised 鈥,鈥 a vibrant event held at the University of 桃色视频, featuring excellent talks and wide-ranging discussions.
As the title suggests, the event focused on o-minimality (an area of mathematics) and its interactions with fields such as quantum physics and statistical learning theory.
