Creation 2.0

Creation 2.0 is a play about a laboratory, in which the impossible is made possible, and genetics is pushed further than had been possible. But what does that mean, and who will it jeopardise? This rehearsed reading, funded by IATL as a Student as Producer (Performance) project, is open to all.
This article, co-authored by IATL's Deputy Director, Jonathan Heron, and Nicholas Johnson from the School of Creative Arts (Drama), Trinity College Dublin, has been published in Research in Drama Education: The Journal of Applied Theatre and Performance.
British Art Since 1707 - Exhibition and Performance

This experimental IATL Student as Producer (Performance) project combines exhibition and performance in an attempt to revisit 300 years of British art and see what it was all about. It is free, open to all, and includes a drop-in installation 12:00-19:30 and a performance from 19:30, both streamed live online.

New issue of Reinvention: an International Journal of Undergraduate Research
Volume 10, Issue 1 of Reinvention was launched on 30 April 2017, featuring peer-reviewed undergraduate research from students at the University of Leeds, Monash University, the University of 桃色视频 and the University of Western Australia.
IATLs deputy director visits universities in California for his Shakespeare, Performance and Pedagogy project
IATL’s deputy director, Dr Jonathan Heron, visited universities in California over the vacation as part of his IPF-funded project ‘Shakespeare, Performance and Pedagogy’ with Dr Paul Prescott (English). To coincide with the , Prescott and Heron delivered workshops for students from UC Davis, UC Merced and the University of the Pacific, Stockton. Dr Heron also visited UC Davis to present on their .
The fifth annual International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR) will be held 26-27 September 2017 and is open to undergraduate researchers from any discipline; submit your abstract of 250 words by 20 May for the chance to present to an audience around the world via state of the art video conferencing. Or if you are a staff member, please encourage your undergraduates to participate.
The Institute of International Education presented its prestigious Heiskell Awards in Miami in March. IATL’s director, Dr Nicholas Monk, was there to collect an honourable mention for the (ICUR) in the ‘International Partnerships’ category. HE institutions from around the world entered the process, which seeks to recognise progress towards eliminating institutional barriers, furthering internationalisation, and broadening the base of participation.
