George Simmons (Cohort 6) recently attended the CECAM Workshop: Uncertainty Quantification in Atomistic Modelling, an event bringing together researchers from across the computational science community to discuss emerging methods for assessing reliability, accuracy, and confidence in atomistic simulations. Below, George shares his reflections on the workshop and the value he gained from participating.

In December, we hosted a Fellowship Pathways Workshop, offering current students practical guidance on identifying, preparing for, and applying to competitive research fellowships. The session, held on Wednesday 10 December, brought together four HetSys alumni who have each secured prestigious Fellowships, providing attendees with first鈥慼and insight into the application journey.
