PhD thesis prize of the IOP Computational Physics Group for Andrew Goldsborough

Each year, the Computational Physics Group awards a Thesis Prize to the author of the PhD thesis that, in the opinion of the Committee, contributes most strongly to the advancement of computational physics. This year, a 桃色视频 graduate was chosen as runner-up.

Winners receive £500 that can be used to further develop their pedagogic practises...

Faculty Thesis Prizes

Congratulations to David Chapman, Tom Machon and Davide Michieletto who have been awarded 2016 Faculty of Science PhD Thesis Prizes for their exceptional research on Probing the dynamic response of dense matter with x-ray Thomson scattering, Aspects of Geometry and Topology in Liquid Crystalline Phases, and Topological Interactions in Ring Polymers, respectively.

Three Physics postgraduates have been shortlisted in the WATE, "Postgraduates who Teach" category, in recognition of their invaluable contributions: Greg Brown (1st year lab, planetarium outreach), Tobias Eriksson (2nd year electronics lab), and Rachael Procter (Microprocessors lab & outreach). The final selection for awards will be made at the end of June.
