'Achieving Impact Internationally' event at ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ University June 2026
Responding to an invitation to reflect on 'Achieving Impact Internationally' for the Interchange event at the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ on 24 June, WAHEI project Co-PI Emily Henderson and project Co-I Ann Stewart presented on their 9-year research trajectory focusing on higher education access and choice in India, funded by Fair Chance Foundation.
It was a great opportunity to think back about how their understanding of the potential for contributing to social transformation has evolved over the years, including drawing on Ann's experiences of working with the Indian judiciary on gender issues 30 years ago up to the evolving WAHEI project in the current moment www.warwick.ac.uk/waheiLink opens in a new window The presentation recognised the hugely valuable project partnerships that have underpinned the journey and the necessity of humility, patience, commitment, friendships, and institutional support - as well as a continued reflection on the 'impact agenda' versus broader principles of social justice.
