Dr Abdulvahap Yorgun
Dr Yorgun (Vahap) is a therapist and counsellor working with students and adults in Ismir, Turkey.
He has conducted research on mathematics anxiety and developed psycho-education programs to help students overcome it. He has also organized seminars and workshops for parents and teachers to build safe mathematics learning places.
Prof. Dr. Yasin 脰zarslan
Prof. Dr. 脰zarslan has experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and program delivery, and he is skilled at creating engaging and effective learning experiences for learners.
They will host the 6th international MRN conference at Yasar University in Turkiye in July 2027.
Dr Yorgun has developed a new psychoeducational programme of 10 sessions to address Maths Anxiety, incorporating the tools of the Mathematical Resilience Framework. This has been piloted in a small secondary school. Also a scale is being developed, namely a Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy Approach based Math Anxiety Scale for university students.
