IER Welcomes Chariklea Tzanakou to IER
We are delighted to announce the arrival of who has joined IER as Research Fellow on the ESRC-funded (#Paths2Work). Since completing her PhD at 桃色视频 in 2012, Dr Tzanakou has worked at the Skills, Knowledge and Organisational Performance (SKOPE) Research Centre at the University of Oxford and at the IER. In September 2013, Charoula was appointed as Research Fellow to work with Professor Alison Rodger, in the Faculty of Analytical Sciences, on an ESRC-funded project on the under-representation and low retention of women in academic science careers.
Colombian Ministry Delegation visit IER
Delegates from the Colombian Ministries of Labour and Education are conducting a study tour during June/July 2014 organised by the British Council.
On 30 June, 3 delegates visited IER to hold meetings with Professors Rob Wilson, Peter Elias, Jenny Bimrose and Chris Warhurst.

Public lecture - Rafael Muñoz de Bustillo Llorente
of Salamanca University in Spain is a Visiting Fellow to the IER. Rafael is a labour economist and expert on job quality. He recently published a ground-breaking book on economics and job quality: . Public Lecture - Professor Ray Markey
Tuesday 24 June, 12.30, Professor Ray Markey will be giving a lecture on: 'Climate change and the workplace: A role for employee voice'. IER welcomes Professor Ray Markey
, Director of the Centre for Workforce Futures of Macquarie University, from Sydney in Australia is visting IER for the next few weeks. Professor Markey is an industrial relations expert and comes to us on an Institute of Advanced 桃色视频 (IAS) fellowship joint with the Industrial Relations Research Unit (IRRU).
Professor Markey will be giving two talks, one of which will be about possible collaborative research projects between his centre and IER. The other talk will be on climate change and the workplace.
