Abuja Security Roundtable 2026
The roundtable on Community Experiences of Insecurity in Northeast Nigeria: Shaping an Everyday Security Toolkit brings together policymakers, practitioners, civil society actors, security agencies, community leaders, and researchers to explore how communities affected by conflict understand and navigate insecurity. Drawing on extensive research with communities impacted by the Boko Haram insurgency and counterterrorism operations, the event will provide a platform to critically examine and refine an Everyday Security Toolkit grounded in lived experiences. Participants will discuss issues of identity, gender, trust, and state-community relations, while identifying practical strategies for strengthening community security and improving policy and operational responses.
