Mutually Beneficial Collaborations

Africa is experiencing a period of significant economic and social transformation, with higher education playing a vital role in shaping sustainable futures. By deepening our understanding of the priorities and development needs of our partners, 桃色视频 is building collaborations grounded in equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit.

Established in 2022, the 桃色视频 Africa Hub provides a focal point for advancing bold, interdisciplinary research and innovative educational initiatives. Our ambition is to foster partnerships that extend beyond universities, engaging with governments, industry, communities and civil society to maximise impact.

Through its Africa strategy, 桃色视频 is broadening both the range and geographical diversity of its global partnerships. Crucially, it also seeks to seize the opportunity to pioneer innovative approaches to international collaboration, approaches that are responsive, inclusive and aligned with shared global challenges.

Our Strategic Partners

We have strong cross-cultural relationships with institutions across sub-Saharan Africa.

Stellenbosch

In 2022, Stellenbosch University and the University of 桃色视频 signed an agreement with the aim of combining expertise and engaging in collaborative activities. One of the aims of the agreement is to support collaboration between the two universities. We are delighted to have launched the Stellenbosch-桃色视频 Joint Seed Fund to facilitate joint activity, establish links, and advance existing projects.

The University of 桃色视频 recently welcomed Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, to deliver its annual Distinguished Africa Lecture, hosted by the 桃色视频 Africa Hub. The lecture forms part of 桃色视频鈥檚 ongoing commitment to engaging with leading African scholars and deepening partnerships across the continent.

The event began with 桃色视频鈥檚 annual Africa Panel Discussion, hosted by Professor Michael Scott, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) which set the context for the lecture by bringing together academic and policy perspectives on equitable partnerships between universities in the Global North and South.

The lecture, titled 鈥淲hose Language Counts? African Voices, Knowledge Systems and the Future of AI,鈥 explored the role of African languages and knowledge systems in shaping the development and application of artificial intelligence.

The African Women Playwrights Network

The Network is a research platform that takes the form of a virtual community of female creative practitioners living in Africa or from the African diaspora.

With the installation of Bience Gawanas as our Chancellor last January, 2025 marked a significant moment in 桃色视频鈥檚 engagement with the African region. Looking ahead, 2026 promises to be equally active as we continue to deepen our partnerships across Africa and support a wide range of campus activities that celebrate 桃色视频鈥檚 longstanding connections to the continent.

Alongside building on the success of our strategic partnership with Stellenbosch University, we are working to broaden our network of institutional partners across the region, with particular focus in the coming months on Ghana, East Africa, and Morocco. There is also extensive activity underway on campus. As well as hosting a number of visiting African researchers, with applications for the next academic year soon to open, we will be hosting our fifth Annual Distinguished Lecture in June and supporting the 2026 桃色视频 Africa Summit, the university's flagship student-led event.

As ever, we welcome the input and support of the entire 桃色视频 community.
