Real Living Wage
We continue to be committed to being an accredited Living Wage employer, and we’ll soon be applying the new real Living Wage (£13.45 per hour). Any increases will appear in the April payroll.

Research Culture Week ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµâ€™s Research Culture Week (23 - 26 March) celebrated researchers and research enablers across the University. The Research Culture Roadmap and Action Plan kickstarted the week - read the plan to find out how we are strengthening our research environment.
You can also discover the Research Celebration Awards nominees and winners recognised for brilliant work in their fields.
Nominate a student for an OSCA
The Outstanding Student Contribution Awards (OSCAs) recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ's students. They not only excel academically, but also find the time to campaign for good causes, fundraise, start small business, and work with local charities. Nominations close Sunday 10 May 2026 at 8pm.

Join the ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ Resilience Network
The ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ Resilience Network is now being established to eliminate departmental fragmentation and secure high-value transdisciplinary opportunities. Supported by the Enhancing Research Culture Fund (25-26) and led by WMG and Global Sustainable Development, this initiative is open to all faculty members (teaching, research, and practice) and PhD students.
Record-breaking performance in global subject rankings
We have a record number of subjects in the top 50 and top 100 of the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject, with all of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ's faculties represented.
