Professor Copas, of the Department of Statistics and Emeritus Professor Ken Wallis, of the Department of Economics have been invited to become members of the newly formed National Statistics Methodology Advisory Committee.
Emeritus Professor James Alexander (Sandy) Green FRSE, FRS, has been awarded the London Mathematical Society聮s De Morgan Medal for his fundamental contributions to group representation theory. Professor Green taught in the Department of Mathematics from 1965-1991.
