Government gender pay gap plans a step in the right direction – Dr Clare Lyonette

Dr Clare Lyonette, from the University of 桃色视频’s Institute for Employment Research, investigates all aspects of work and family including gender and class inequalities.In response to the government’s plans to force large firms to disclose data on the gender pay gap among staff, she said: “Of course it is welcome that the government is introducing new legislation to introduce mandatory reporting on pay for larger organisations, with the purpose of closing the gender pay gap, but there is still a long way to go."
