ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ researchers contribute to major climate change conference

Two ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ researchers are presenting at this week’s Climate Exp0 online conference, organised by the COP26 Universities Network and the Italian University Network for Sustainable Development (RUS). The conference is part of the official All4Climate Pre-COP programme and aims to showcase international research with relevance to the issues to be tackled at the forthcoming COP26 UN Climate Change conference, taking place in Glasgow in November.


Increasing shared E-scooter service life from 3 months to 3 years

The current lifespan of a rental e-scooter is on average three months, after which they are scrapped, which isn’t environmentally friendly despite the scooters not producing any CO2 when in use. Researchers from WMG, University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ, aim to increase their lifespan from three months to three years, making them more eco-friendly.

It will operate alongside new facilities to stimulate innovation in the, in the newly named ‘Junction’ facility.
