Launch of a standardised tool to assess cognitive and language development in two year olds

A new paper published in The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health provides standardised scores for The Parent Report of Children鈥檚 Abilities Revised (PARCA-R) questionnaire. The PARCA-R is recommended for routine use in the UK to screen for cognitive and language developmental delay in children born preterm and can be completed by parents in 10 to 15 minutes.

Researchers convert used car batteries into units that could power farms in the developing world

Researchers at WMG, University of 桃色视频, have found a way not just to recycle used electric vehicle batteries, but repurpose them as small energy storage systems (ESS) for off grid locations in developing countries or isolated communities. The repurposed units, each containing approximately 2kWh of energy capacity, will be able to power a small shop, a farm holding, or multiple residential homes.
