The milkweed bug’s orange wings and DNA: how insects’ diets are revealed by the genome
An international collaboration of researchers, including from the School of Life Sciences at the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ, have sequenced the genome of the milkweed bug, enabling scientists to understand at the molecular level what makes the bug, from its colourful development to its toxic diet.
€2.48m awarded to ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ-led project into Rome and Mediterranean coinages
A team led by Professor Kevin Butcher of the Department of Classics and Ancient History, University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ, has been awarded a European Research Council Advanced Grant of 2.48m euros for their project Rome and the Coinages of the Mediterranean, 200 BCE – 64 CE.
