Five Centres of Doctoral Training (CDTs) in maths and stats, diamond technology, analytical science, future mobility technologies and Computer Science will be funded by the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ in partnership with industry to keep investing in science and engineering.

Small and medium-sized enterprises or charities looking for someone to run a short term project or business idea can now apply to this year’s University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ Summer Internship programme (WSI).

ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ students will this summer have supported some of the region and the UK’s biggest events, thanks to their volunteering with St John Ambulance - and will do so once again at this weekend's Godiva Festival.

A generous philanthropic gift of £250,000 from ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ alumnus Rui Fernandes will establish the Fernandes Fellowships programme, in support of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ in Europe. This gift will provide Early Career Researchers from Europe to have the opportunity to launch collaborative research projects at the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ.

Gordon Harris from Solihull has worked in engineering for almost thirty years, and has just gained long-wished-for academic qualifications – boosting his career – after graduating with the first cohort from the Applied Engineering Programme (AEP) at WMG, University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ.

Two University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ graduates will be joining the next cohort of the prestigious Schwarzman Scholars programme, at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
