ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ researchers shortlisted for major prize

Two projects led by ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ researchers have been shortlisted for the 2019 Newton Prize, a prestigious award which celebrates outstanding international research partnerships aimed at tackling global challenges. A project exploring innovative cancer drugs and one studying the impact of forced evictions on economically underprivileged women in Jakarta are among the final 20 which will now be reviewed by a panel of expert judges.

 


ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ University announces new trial to measure air quality on campus

CLIMO from Bosch will be trialled by the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ to measure the air quality around campus by monitoring particulates and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the air for two years at two different sites, launching today, 20th June 2019 – UK Clean Air Day.

The milkweed bug’s orange wings and DNA: how insects’ diets are revealed by the genome

An international collaboration of researchers, including from the School of Life Sciences at the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ, have sequenced the genome of the milkweed bug, enabling scientists to understand at the molecular level what makes the bug, from its colourful development to its toxic diet.
