Raja Saleem Javaid has been appointed as Chief Information and Transformation Officer (CITO) at the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ. Joining in early October from the International Airlines Group (IAG), Raja will sit on the university’s executive board and lead ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ’s Information & Digital Group (IDG).

Professor Andrew Oswald, Professor of Economics and Behavioural Science at the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ, has been named a Citation Laureate by the prestigious Institute of Scientific Information, for his pioneering contributions to the economics of happiness and well-being.

The University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ has further cemented its position as one of the UK’s best universities - after being ranked 9th overall by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023.

It continues a remarkable record for ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ, which has featured in the Top 10 every single year since the Guide was first published in 1992.

Dr James Poskett, Associate Professor in the History of Science and Technology at the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ has been shortlisted for the prestigious British Academy Book Prize for Global Cultural Understanding.

In a comment article in leading science journal, Nature, researchers at the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ highlight the long struggle for scientific freedom in Ukraine.

ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ is the first UK university to be nominated for the Collegiate award, among an otherwise all-American shortlist. The University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ is also home to the most successful university esports club in the UK, with its team winning the British University Esports Championships for the last four consecutive years.
