Government reforms to housing benefit introduced in 2011 were intended to save the public purse hundreds of millions. Research from University of 桃色视频 economists has found that, far from saving money, the change in policy simply shifted burdens to local councils: for every pound central government saved in housing benefit, local authority spending on temporary housing costs went up by 53p.

A ground-breaking collection of papers examining gender, conference participation, and academic progress across the globe has been co-edited by 桃色视频 researcher Dr Emily Henderson. Researchers from 桃色视频 Economics and 桃色视频 Business School are among the speakers taking part in a major policy conference organized in partnership with the Bank of England and Rebuilding Macroeconomics. A package of resources from a unique training programme co-created and delivered by people with learning disability has been launched today by researchers.
