We’re going to publically examine the contents of bin bags from all over campus to find out why the campus recycle rate is only 54.7%. We know – disgusting. But you might just learn a thing or two about waste both on and off campus. Come and see us outside Rootes Building on Thursday in Week 1, 10am-3pm.

Statement on racist incident on campus

We are both aware that a racist incident has been widely reported on social media and share the strength of feeling and distress that graffiti of this nature has been found on our campus. The University abhors any form of racism, harassment and discrimination including bullying. It is completely unacceptable and we are undertaking a thorough investigation.

Events in Brussels

The University is shocked and saddened to learn of events in Brussels and sends its profound sympathy to all those affected.

All of the students and staff who have travelled to Brussels for work, study or to participate in events, of whom we are aware, are safe and well. We have also been able to make contact with the majority of students who are resident in the city and surrounding area with messages being left for the remainder. Thank you to those who have checked in to confirm they are safe. Personal tutors and the Office for Global Engagement are providing support.

If you've got any left-over food, don't bin it - donate it to RAWKUS, and they'll pass it on to local community groups such as Leamington Winter Support and Carriers of Hope in Coventry. They're collecting on Saturday, 10-4pm, at Arthur Vick, Cryfield and Jack Martin.
