Take part in EUTOPIA Languages Week!
Join us from 2 - 6 March 2026 to celebrate languages, cultures, and the diversity of our global EUTOPIA community. Engage in virtual and in-person activities and events throughout the week to develop your global outlook, meet new people, and be inspired to continue enhancing your international experience. There will be language tasters, workshops, talks, a game night, as well as events organised by our partner institutions. Get involved!
Let's celebrate International Women's Day
For International Women’s Day, 8 March 2026, you can dedicate a digital plaque to staff and students in our community. This is your chance to share a message of appreciation and recognition for women who’ve inspired you, supported you, or simply made you smile. Make your submission today.
Ramadan at ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ
From 17 February - 18 March, Muslim students and staff in our community will be observing Ramadan, a holy month of reflection and fasting. You can find more details on our Ramadan at ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ web page including details of the 'One Fast Challenge' event on 26 February, which invites everyone at ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ to take part. Wellness Day on 11 February!
Join us on 11 February from 12:30 - 3:30pm in OC0.01 for a selection of activities designed to help you take a break from studies and focus on your wellbeing. From mindfulness pop-ups and an aromatherapy table, to a support services information fair and a talk from mental health advocate Ryan Ridgeway, take some time out of your day to relax and reflect on wellbeing. You can even attend the annual Mini-Farm!

Want to get involved in sustainability projects on campus? Join the Green Champions community and make a real impact through a range of initiatives. You can apply for short‑term or long-term projects. The application deadline for short‑term projects, such as designing an energy trail or creating engaging social media content, is 30 January. Join our new online community: Unibuddy!
Unibuddy is a virtual space for all ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ students. Connect with peers who share your interests, talk in private chats or in groups, meet other students from your country, and chat with course-mates, all in a safe and verified space. Download the app!
Join us from 1pm - 3pm on Thursday 15 January in The Nook for a relaxed Culture Exchange session where you’ll chat informally with other students, share experiences from different cultures, and reflect on the values you’d like to carry into the year ahead. Inspired by these conversations, you’ll decorate a wooden keyring or bag dangler — a small reminder of what you’ve learned from each other. You'll even earn points towards the ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ Award for taking part!

We are proud to announce that the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ has been named UKCISA International Institution of the Year! UKCISA praised the emphasis on global engagement and student experience from ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµâ€™s 60th anniversary international programme and the associated One World ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ campaign.
Arthur Vick 1 Fire Update
Following the fire in Arthur Vick Residence Block 1 on the evening of Wednesday, 19 November, the University continues to assess the damage caused by the fire and support students affected. The vast majority of students should be able to return to their Arthur Vick accommodation by the start of term. However, a small number of students will be unable to return to Arthur Vick this academic year due to the extent of the damage and repairs required. As always, the safety and wellbeing of our students remains our absolute priority. Read more.

Please remember to never share personal information with anyone claiming to be from a phone company, a courier company, a bank, the police, or a government agency without independently verifying they are legitimate.
