This Welcome Week, David Speed is back on campus to bring the winning 60th anniversary mural design to life in his signature neon style, right in the heart of campus on the Piazza! Join us between 30 September - 3 October to watch the mural unfold and see creativity in action.

Our upgraded Climbing Centre now features at least 20% more routes, including a mix of auto-belay and roped climbs. With a wider variety of wall angles, extra space and even more creative route setting, climbers of all abilities will find more ways to test themselves.

There’s still time to get your hands on student discounted tickets - just use the code UOW10RB for £10 tickets between 29 September and 13 October. 

Daily campus parking tariffs will be changing from 1 September. Discover more about the changes to tariffs for PGRs and for students.

From 30 July, we are changing how your devices connect to the internet on campus, to help keep everyone safer online. To access the internet on campus, you will need to check the DNS settings on your laptop and mobile devices. You can find step-by-step instructions here.

The central campus Post Office will be closed from today (Friday 25 July), alongside Rootes Grocery Store, for refurbishment as we launch a new Co-Op store in September. The nearest Post Office in the meantime is at Cannon Park.

A huge congratulations to the winners of the WATE (ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ Awards for Teaching Excellence), WAPTE (ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ Awards for Personal Tutoring Excellence) and WAPCE (ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ Awards for Public and Community Engagement) in 2025. The Awards recognise members of our community who have gone above and beyond in teaching excellence, public engagement, and personal tutoring.

Rootes Grocery Store is now closed for a full refurbishment and will reopen as the University of ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ's Co-op on Wednesday 24th September. A pop-up shop will be opening on Monday 28th July, this will be located in the SU building, opposite The Finery Barbers. The shop will sell a reduced range of basic supplies, including sandwiches, bread, milk, drinks, snacks, fruit, tea and coffee. You can read about the new Co-op store here.

The end of the academic year has arrived! We hope you have a wonderful and well-earned break. Remember, support and services are still available over the break, and there is plenty to see in the local area if you are sticking around campus this summer.

Access restrictions to University House will be lifted from Friday 23 May. WMG access remains a single point of entry until Tuesday 27 May.

Please be aware that the Student Records System (SITS) will not be available from 4pm on Thursday 8th May to 5pm on Monday 12th May while we complete some essential maintenance.

We'd like to wish a huge congratulations to Adam Hudson, an undergraduate Statistics student at ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ, who claimed first place in Coventry's Half Marathon on Sunday 27 April. Hear from Adam, who completed the Half Marathon in an impressive 70 minutes and 22 seconds!

There have been recent reports of charity donation scams on campus by several members of our community. Sadly, fraudsters can take advantage of our generosity when giving to charity. Please be vigilant when invited to donate, use this advice to help protect yourself and report any concerns.

We are commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day with a series of events to honour the victims of the Holocaust and reflect on its enduring lessons. This year’s observance marks 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, a powerful reminder of the atrocities of the Holocaust.

On Wednesday 22 January, access to University House will be restricted to staff only, and WMG buildings will move to a single point of access. This is in response to a planned rally at lunchtime on Wednesday.
