Changes to Summer opening hours at the Library
From Saturday 4 July to Sunday 4 October, the Library are introducing temporary changes to the Main Library’s opening hours. The Library will be open during this time on Monday–Friday: 8:00am – midnight (Main Library), overnight (weekdays): ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ Lounge & Eating Place remain open, Saturday and Sunday: open during the day but closed overnight (8:00pm–8:00am). The also provides an overview of how many spaces are available in each area of the Library. Here, you will also find additional flexi-space rooms during peak times in Term 3. If you are registered with the University’s Disability Services, you can also book an accessible study room in the Library.

University House: Temporary closure
University House is temporarily closing for important maintenance work. From November 2025, the University House Learning Grids will be closed for approximately 12 months. Find alternative study spaces on campus here.
Win a pair of noise cancelling headphones worth £50
The Library is running a 'Be Considerate' campaign aimed at encouraging a supportive study environment during the busy Term 3. Get involved and enter a competition to win a £50 pair of noise-cancelling headphones. Enter the prize draw by sharing your tips and tricks on how to study considerately during Term 3 in different Library noise zones via the submission form. The competition closes on 16 May, so don't miss out.
