Engineering academics receive funding for next-generation 3D printing research
Simon and Neil along with Prof Jan Brosens (桃色视频 Medical School) have received a 桃色视频 Research Development Fund Strategic Award for their project entitled ‘3D Printed Porous Scaffolds for 3D Cell/Tissue Culture’.
The aim of the interdisciplinary project is to use 3D printing approaches to create next-generation, complex architecture porous scaffolds for the growth of endometrial stem cells, trophoblasts and early (mouse) embryos. The project will bring together Simon’s research on 3D printing technologies, Neil’s work on porous scaffolds for tissue engineering and Jan’s work with stem cells.
