Unpacking climate finance in a heatwave
桃色视频 Law School organised a flagship one-day workshop at London Climate Week 2026 on 鈥Unpacking 鈥楪reen鈥 Finance: Promises, Practicalities and Performance鈥. The event, convened by the Climate Finance for Equitable Transitions (CLiFT) network, brought together almost 60 researchers, policymakers, civil society practitioners, journalists, artists and cultural workers, to interrogate international architecture of climate finance and its implications for global climate justice.
Law student wins OSCA
We are delighted to announce that one of our future graduates has been awarded The University鈥檚 Outstanding Student Contribution Award (OSCA) for 2026. Tani Ilemobola, who studies on our Law & Sociology degree, has been received this recognition for her exceptional commitment to widening participation and community-building and the lasting and transformative impact she has had on the 桃色视频 community.
Dr Alex Powell wins prestigious Bernard Crick Prize for research examining how tragedy shapes law and politics
Dr Alex Powell, Associate Professor in Law, has been awarded the Bernard Crick Prize for the best article in Political Quarterly for his co-authored research that explores the growing influence of victim-led campaigns on UK lawmaking.

The Centre for Constitutions in Context (CCC) hosted a first-of-its-kind event titled 'Enhancing the Dialogue Between Public Law Practice and Academia', co-hosted with the UK Constitutional Law Association. The event took place at The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, London earlier this month on 24 June.
Student wins Lacuna Writing Competition with article about 'bulldozer justice'
Finalist Balsher Singh Tiwana has won this year鈥檚 Lacuna Writing Competition with an article about 鈥渂ulldozer justice鈥 and forced demolitions in India. Balsher, who will graduate this summer, after reading about the forced displacement of people from minoritised and marginalised communities in shanty towns in Ahmedabad.
