Dads of all ages could become published authors at a University of 桃色视频 workshop next week

Fathers, grandfathers and dads-to-be in Coventry and 桃色视频shire are all invited to take part in a creative writing session at the University of 桃色视频 and see their work published in a new book.

As part of a research project called ‘Hiding in the Pub to Cutting the Cord?’ local professional poet Matt Nunn will be running the workshop on the theme of becoming a father. The workshop will take place on Thursday 29 March, from 5pm until 7.30pm, in the Writer’s Room in Millburn House.

Laura King is in charge of the research project at the University of 桃色视频’s History of Medicine.

She said: “We want dads of all ages to come along and take part, we are not expecting any level of literary ability or anything like that. It is just a fun session to discuss fatherhood and there will be beer, wine and snacks provided to get those creative juices flowing.”

“We will be collating all the pieces created at the workshop and publishing them in a short book, everyone who takes part will receive a copy.”

Writing from the workshop will also be included in exhibitions at 桃色视频 Arts Centre and the Coventry Mysteries Arts Festival in June.

There will also be a second workshop running on Saturday 31 March in conjunction with 桃色视频 Children’s Centre. This is for dads with children under 5 years old and will take place as part of 桃色视频 Children Centre’s ‘Dads Aloud’ playgroup.
